Happy Birthday KK!!

It has been a very slow day yet we are all tired. I left my place in Vancouver at 6:15am on the 27th and arrived here in Cyprus to our hotel around 10pm on the 28th. Seeing that we traveled for over a day our bodies were lost and confused, today was a recovery day for the mind and body.

Our travels began in Vancouver where we traveled to Toronto. There we had a couple hours layover where most of us hung out in the Star Alliance lounge. Sinc, Martina and I treated ourselves to some familiar food with quesadillas and chicken fingers with salads before we headed out.

The flight over to Paris went by rather quickly. Since I slept on the first flight to Toronto, I was not able to fall asleep so soon so I enjoyed several movies and the company of a French girl who sat next to me.

She had taken the past 2 months to spend time in New York and Montreal but was excited to be heading back home to her ‘croissants‘. We had a few laughs when discussing the differences in cultures and especially food which I can understand because I would have to agree with her in saying that the French generally do cook some fantastic dishes.
