Pan Am GamesSo we are now preparing for our big game against Brazil and it should be a great one. Both of us have won our first 3 games convincingly. Our first game, against Uruguay, we won 7-0 with goals coming from Sincy (who had 3), Randee had two, and Tanc and D each had one.

Our second game we won 4-0 where Kara had 3 and Andy notched another one in. Our final game came against Jamaica where the final score was 11-1 which now puts us through to the semi’s no matter what the outcome is tomorrow. Katie and Amy V both scored her first goals for Canada in this game so it was an exciting day for us all.

We were joined by the CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee, Christopher Rudge, who warmed us with a beautiful speech about these games and the Olympics. Read the rest of this entry »

We shared with several other Canadian athletes but I have to admit I didn’t notice much as I didn’t get much sleep on the 10hr flight so I quickly fell asleep once I sat down.

I didn’t get to enjoy the drive and the scenery to the athlete village because when I did wake up we were just pulling into the highly secured area. Everything we had on us was checked once again and our passes validated so that we could go to our home for the next three weeks. Read the rest of this entry »
