SwedenWell hello again.

We are now in Stockholm, Sweden and most of us have spent the morning sleeping. Our bus ride over took between 8-10 hours, I lost track around hour 5, but I think we all had difficulty sleeping. It could have been either from the fact that all our adrenaline was still going from our amazing comeback or the bus was just not too comfy, but either reason not many of us got any sleep.

Andie, Amy, and myself had our usual O.C. DVD watching for a while which was exciting but we put it away in hope that we would fall asleep.

The ride was interestingly bright as daylight is much longer than back at home. I took a couple pictures with no flash to try to show you guys what I meant, but I believe around 10PM I still saw the sun as it was beginning to set.

Upon arrival into Stockholm at 5AM this morning, our bus driver took us on a tour or the new and old Stockholm which I took a few pics of. It is beautiful and unlike any other city we’ve been to. On one side it is surrounded by fresh water, and on the opposite side, surrounded by salt water. I know most of the pics may seem the same, but keep in mind it was 5AM and I’d been working on maybe 20 minutes sleep at the time. Read the rest of this entry »

ParisWell, the trip has ended and I am now back home. We won our game against France as I am sure you all already know which was a great way to end our trip. Everyone left in good spirits because it was our first four international games together in many months and the results were good. As a team, we got better every game as well as individuals.

A couple of us stayed a day longer in Paris. Amy, Izzy, Randee, Amber, Kara and myself enjoyed the beautiful city which some of us had been to, but not with much time to spare. The last time our team played in France a couple years ago, we drove through Paris before heading to the airport. That tour at 4 a.m. was not as exciting and memorable as this trip.

We had 4 attractions in mind that we wanted to see, and with brisk walking and a great attitude we were able to see them all. We began leaving our hotel and getting an all day train pass which Izzy suggested (great suggestion Izzy) and headed to Champs-Elysees where we found many stores, restaurants and eventually the Arc of Triumph. We then got back on the sub and headed to the Eiffel Tower where we lounged underneath for some time enjoying the sunshine and company. Read the rest of this entry »
